WHAT IS THE CONTENT OF THESE SCARVES?
- Scarves are either 100% nylon, 100% polyester, or 55% Polyamide 45% Polyester. Content information can be found by clicking on "select color" under individual color swatches.
- Sometimes sizes among the same style of scarves will be different. This is due to the fact that each scarf is hand-knit, and each scarf will have a small variance due to the human factor. Sometimes different colors of the same yarn will have a slightly different gauge as well, producing scarves with slightly different lengths.
- Hand wash, lay flat to dry. Do not use warm or hot iron on scarf. Wrap scarf in towel to remove excess water, do not wring. When dry, use fingers to fluff scarf to its normal appearance and width.
- Yes, each scarf comes with a care and content card attached. Each card also lists the name of each scarf for future reference.
- Yes. A printable version can be accessed here.
- Maybe. Because of copyright laws, we won't be able to create an exact copy, but we would be happy to see if we can make a similar, albeit an original, design. Any new design commissioned by customers becomes property of Hipknitter.com. If you are able to send a picture of the scarf, or let us know where on the web where we can see the scarf, we would be happy to investigate possibilities and pricing. This would also be contingent on whether or not we could locate a similar yarn, as well. Please contact us with any special requests you might have, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please note: any special requests that are commissioned by customers are not returnable.
HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?
- Once you've found an item you would like to purchase, use the drop down buttons to select your size and if you would like to add a keyhole opening. Then click "add to shopping cart". This button will take you to your shopping cart where you can review all of the items added along with quantities, prices, and subtotals.
- PayPal is a secure online payment processor. PayPal allows us to accept a variety of debit and credit cards, along with electronic check payments, with high security. We never see your personal payment information-PayPal simply charges your debit or credit card, or appropriate bank account and forwards your order to us.
- No, you do not need a PayPal account in order to purchase products from us. PayPal simply processes your payment for us. However, if you do have a PayPal account, you can also pay for your order with a PayPal transfer.
- For your convenience, we accept American Express, Discover Card, MasterCard, Visa, PayPal transfers, and electronic checks. A debit card with any of these logos is also accepted.
- Yes, all orders will be charged a shipping fee. We ship all domestic orders using USPS Priority Mail. Please see our shipping faq's for more shipping information.
- Sales tax is only applied to orders shipped within Washington State at the rate of 8.6%. In compliance with Washington State laws, both merchandise and shipping fees must be taxed.
HOW IS MY ORDER SHIPPED?
- We use the United States Postal Service's Priority Mail service to ship orders within the United States, the US Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. This includes PO Boxes and military addresses.
- All domestic orders are insured, and all orders require signature confirmation to ensure that you receive your order.
- Priority Mail typically takes 2 to 3 days to arrive at its destination, and Priority Mail will deliver on Saturdays. However, when calculating when your order will arrive, please exclude Sundays or holidays.
- Yes, we will send an email to let you know when your order has been shipped, and will receive a USPS confirmation number so you can track your package.
- You can track your package at http://www.usps.com/shipping/trackandconfirm.htm?from=home&page=0035trackandconfirm by entering the confirmation number that you have received in your shipping notification email.
- We strive to ship all orders within 48-72 hours, with many orders being shipped within 24-48 hours, excluding Sundays and holidays. When possible, we do ship orders on Saturdays. If an order will take 5 or more days to process and ship, we will notify you via an email as soon as possible.
- Please see chart below for shipping costs. All domestic orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail.

- International shipping prices depend on several factors. Please contact us with your specific location information and order interests.
CAN ITEMS BE RETURNED OR EXCHANGED?
- Yes, following certain criteria. All returns or exchanges must be accompanied by the sales slip sent with the merchandise. Postage for any returns or exchanges is the responsibility of the customer, unless we shipped the wrong product. We also recommend signature confirmation for any returns or exchanges, and we are not responsible for any returns or exchanges that we don't receive, or that don't follow our return procedures. However, please don't hesitate to let us know if there's a problem with your order, or if you have any questions!
- If you decide to return an item, you may do so as long as you contact us within 30 days of the shipping date of your order. We will refund your full purchase price as long as the merchandise is still in sellable condition. Please contact us so we can send you more specific return instructions before returning any merchandise. We will provide final details on how to return merchandise then. Shipping is not refundable, unless we shipped the wrong product.
- Yes, you may exchange your item within 60 days of the shipping date of your order, as long as the exchanged item is still in sellable condition, and of equal value to the new item. Shipping charges will apply to ship a different item. Please contact us so we can send you more specific exchange instructions before returning any exchange, or if you have any questions. We will be happy to work out an exchange that works for you!
- All returns will be credited to the same form of payment that was used to make the original purchase through PayPal, provided the appropriate return policies were followed. Shipping will not be refunded, unless we shipped the incorrect product.
